Iranian photographers honored at Pacific-Atlantic contest

TEHRAN – Several Iranian photographers have been honored at the 3rd Pacific-Atlantic International Photographic Circuit, the organizers have announced.

Akram Niksefat-Zendedel received the Silver Medal of the Atlantic Institute of Photography (AIP) for “Hermit” in the 2 Monochrome Open category of the contest, which was organized by the U.S., Greece and Singapore.

The Bronze Medal of the Greek Artistic Photography (GAP) was awarded to Reza Amelipour for “Sis” in the 1 Color Open category.

Several Iranian photographers also won honorable mentions. Saeid Mohammadzadeh received the AIP Honorable Mention for “Galaxy Ship” in the Color Open section.

Abdolrahman Mojarrad won an honorable mention from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) for “To Light” in the 4 Photo Travel section.

The Photographic Society of Singapore gave Amin Dehghan an honorable mention for “Base Camp” in the Photo Travel category, and the Global Photographic Union presented an honorable mention to Seyyed Ehsan Mortazavi for “Baby Monkey” in the Nature section.

Winners were announced on June 16. A selection of the works will be showcased at separate exhibitions in the U.S., Greece and Singapore from August 18 to 22.

The U.S. exhibit will take place at the Atlantic Institute of Photography, New Jersey. The Greek Artistic Photography will host the exhibition in Iraklion and the Photographic Society of Singapore will hold the exhibition at the same time.
